A knack for
Today’s episode is a little long already, so I’m going to give you an easy word—a good word to know, though. Marie Kondo has a knack for organizing. A knack, k-n-a-c-k. That means she has a special and natural talent for organizing. When someone has a natural skill at doing a particular task, you say that person has a knack for that task.
Marie Kondo has a knack for organizing; she just has this amazing skill, and it seems to come so naturally to her. She really has a knack for it. Some people have a knack for interior design . They just know how to make colors, fabrics , and shapes work well in a room—I am not one of those people.
You might know someone who has a knack for learning languages; maybe that person is you! It’s not me; although I do okay at Spanish, I have to work really hard at it, and I wouldn’t say I have a knack for it. However, I’ve definitely met people who can learn languages quickly. They just have this natural skill, which I admire .
You might have a knack for finding bargains . If you like to shop and you know where to get the best deals , the best discounts , then you might have a knack for finding bargains. If you’re in business or finance, you might have a knack for picking stocks . Although I think it’s the case that everyone thinks they have a knack for picking stocks when the markets are generally going up.
