When something is at risk, it is in danger of being lost or destroyed. The government of Cuba makes a lot of money from the government of Venezuela, but that money is at risk because of the troubles in Venezuela. That money coming to Cuba is in danger of being lost; there is the possibility that Cuba won’t get it. That money is at risk. Have you ever put your safety at risk? Perhaps you did something that could cause you to suffer damage. Maybe you put your reputation at risk, by not being honest or ethical. (I hope not!)
