Domino effect

A “domino effect” is when something bad happens and causes a chain of other similar events to happen. Many stores in malls are closing, and the “domino effect” can easily cause the downfall of a big mall. Store closures are causing malls to shutter. When a flight is delayed, it usually causes a domino effect of other flights getting delayed, too.
