Early adopter

An “early adopter” is a person who starts using a new product or technology as soon as it becomes available. The Flip is great if you have the money, don’t mind the questions about durability, love the design, and want to be an “early adopter,” or someone who starts using new technology as soon as it becomes available. The farmer was an “early adopter” of the new mechanical equipment.
