A fleet is a collection of vehicles that serves a single purpose. Waymo, the self-driving car division of Google, is expected to release a fleet of self-driving taxis in Arizona later this year. The fleet is all the cars Waymo owns that will be used to serve passengers. Large companies might have fleets of trucks to deliver their merchandise to stores. You generally use “fleet” with cars and trucks, not trains or boats. You can have a fleet of limousines, taxis, vans, trucks, and cars.
