Foot traffic

“Foot traffic” refers to pedestrian visitors to a business or commercial site. Businesses will often pick a retail location based on how much “foot traffic” that location gets. For example, a mall or busy street generally gets a lot of “foot traffic.” Today’s episode mentions that “foot traffic” in stores across China is at an all-time low due to the coronavirus. People in China are avoiding public places and not shopping as much to avoid contracting the virus.
