Frame (someone)

To “frame” someone means to manipulate a situation so that it appears that an innocent person committed a crime. In the episode, I speculated that the six survivors in the group of hikers might have planned the attack with the two gunmen to “frame” the person that is now accused of the crime. If that were true, the person accused of the crime would actually be innocent. Other criminals might try to “frame” someone else by planting evidence at the crime scene.
