The labor force is the group of all people working in formal jobs. In the United States, women joined the labor force—they began to work in formal jobs in about the 1960s. The government of Saudi Arabia wants 30% of women to be in the labor force by 2030: they want 30% of women to be working in jobs outside the home by that year.
