In the expressions section of today’s episode, I used the phrase “on day one.” Here’s how I used it: When Canada legalized marijuana, you would expect a lot of legal pot sales on day one. That means on the first day. It’s common to say “on day one” or “from day one” when you mean at the beginning (or from the beginning). “We’ll be ready to start on day one” means that you’ll be ready to start at the very beginning; you won’t have any delays. “You’ve been good to me from day one” means that you’ve been good to me since we first met, or since the very beginning.
