Personal vendetta

A “personal vendetta” is a long argument or feud between people or families in which one group tries to harm the other in order to punish them for things that happened in the past. On condo boards, sometimes important decisions are made based on “personal vendettas,” grudges, resentment, whatever. On condo boards, sometimes important decisions are made based on long feuds between people on a mission to punish each other. The candidate for mayor waged a “personal vendetta” against the business owner for endorsing another candidate.
