Marijuana can be used for “medical use” when prescribed by a doctor to relieve a medical condition or for recreational use if you’re using it just for fun. The vast majority of marijuana is used for recreation. Many US states have legalized marijuana for medical use and some have legalized it for recreational use, as well. Some drugs are called “recreational drugs” if they have no use other than recreation.
