Security detail

A security detail is a team of people assigned to guard a single person or a group. A single person who protests another single person is a bodyguard; usually “security detail” is used when a team of people is used to protect one other person. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s security detail were suspected to be among those who were sent to the country’s consulate in Istanbul. Leading government figures and high-profile people often have security details; others just have bodyguards. (Personally, I have neither!)
