“Seven figures” refers to any number between 1,000,000 and 9,999,999 and is usually used to describe a large monetary value, like a person’s salary or the price of real estate property. In today’s episode, you heard that the high-rise condominiums in Brooklyn start in the “seven figures,” meaning that the condominiums are listed for $1,000,000 at a minimum. Similarly, you can also use the term “six figures” to reference a number between 100,000 and 999,999, or “eight figures” to reference a value between 10,000,000 and 99,999,999, and so on. If someone’s annual salary is $100,000, that person has a “six figure” salary.
