“Vibe” refers to the mood or character of a place, situation, or piece of music. Many Starbucks cafés have lines out the door of people waiting for orders. To be honest, that ruins the cozy café “vibe,” or the café’s mood, when there are crowds of people standing around and baristas yelling out names and orders. After the CEO announced job cuts, the meeting “vibe” turned extremely tense. The artist’s music has a very soothing vibe.
