When you “wait and see,” it means you wait to find out what will happen before doing or deciding something. After countries start to open up their economies, public health agencies will have to “wait and see” what happens before deciding what to do next. After you get a blood test at the doctor, there is nothing you can do until you get the results, so you have to “wait and see” what the results say.
