Foul play

Foul play is an expression to mean “something illegal.” Since the mysterious “Havana syndrome” only affects Americans and Canadians working for their governments, many people have suspected Cuba of “foul play.” They suspect the Cuban government has been targeting these people with an unknown type of technology to make them sick. If something disappears from your house, it might be due to foul play—or it might be because you lost it.
