A “pedigree” is a technical term that describes the genetics of a family or individual. However, the most common use is to describe the origins of a person, company, or organization.

Credit Suisse had a prestigious pedigree. The bank started in the 1850s and grew to become one of the largest wealth managers in the world. Not only that, but it counted very prestigious individuals as clients. As an organization, it had a prestigious history, so it had a prestigious pedigree.

You can say “solid pedigree” to describe a person’s history. Five consecutive U.S. presidents went to Ivy League universities for part of their education. But Joe Biden, the current president, doesn’t have the same educational pedigree as his five predecessors. He went to a public university in his home state.
