If it’s “pouring rain,” it’s raining heavily. In today’s story, you learned about the heat dome. The heat dome keeps rain and moisture out. But if that rain and moisture can’t fall in the heat dome, then where does it go?

It goes to areas not covered by the heat dome. Those areas experience pouring rain–very heavy rain.
