Run over by a truck

If someone says they feel like they were “run over by a truck,” it means they are not feeling well and their body might feel achy and sore. This expression is almost always used when someone feels sick. Some people describe having a brain fog and others just feel like they were “run over by a truck” – that was JR’s description after getting the Moderna vaccine. JR meant that he was not feeling well after his second vaccination. If you have the flu, you might say you feel like you got “run over by a truck.” After a late night out drinking at bars, you might wake up the next morning feeling like you were “run over by a truck.”
