To skew means to distort or to cause something to be off-center. In today’s episode, I say that competitive video-gaming skews male; this means that it’s off-center. There are far more males than females interested in this sport. Here’s another example: You don’t want to skew the statistics to make video-gaming look more popular than it is. In this case, I’m warning you not to distort—or to unfairly change—the statistics.
